The Organisation Design Specialist is responsible for ensuring the Cayman Islands Government compensation strategy is consistently applied across the Civil Service by managing, maintaining and executing a job evaluation system which recognizes roles of equal value with equal pay.  The post-holder operates as an internal specialist, delivering job evaluation activities and providing support and advice to managers across the business in organisational design and job creation to ensure that human resource requirements are aligned with business needs and workforce projections.

 

The requirements:

The post-holder must:

Ø  Hold a Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related discipline from an accredited college/university or have extensive relevant work experience coupled with demonstrable success in completing on-going profession development within the discipline, at level 5 (tertiary) accreditation.

Ø  Have sufficiency of specialist work experience (usually acquired over a minimum of 8-10 years) which would enable the post-holder to operate as a subject matter expert for organisation design, job design and job evaluation across a diverse and complex organisation.

Ø  Be an experienced HAY methodology job evaluator, with the ability to conceptually understand and explain the role of job evaluation to support organisation design and remuneration strategies; coupled with the depth and breadth of practical experience to consistently undertake individual evaluations.

Ø  HAY job evaluator trained and certified.

 

The post holder will also be expected to demonstrate the CIG core competencies of building capability, working together and delivering results at the Individual Contributor level.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Ø  Relevant Master’s Degree;

Ø  Possess knowledge of modern principals, procedures and practices of Human Resource Management and how they relate to the public sector environment;

Ø  Knowledge of the Public Service Management Law (2018) and Personnel Regulations (2025);

Ø  Basic understanding of Organizational Development;

Ø  Be able to demonstrate experience in leadership; and

Ø  Project Management training/certification and experience.
