Job Purpose
This is a pivotal role within the MSF UK & IE, managing the People Services team to operate as a robust customer centric support service. As part of the People department, this role will manage a team to deliver excellent end-to-end employee lifecycle support, from recruitment, onboarding to offboarding, that is cohesive, collaborative and inclusive. The role supports MSFUK and the People department by managing the team to proactively contribute to the overall employee experience.
The People Services Manager will be adaptable, collaborative and build relationships with individuals in MSF UK, across the MSF movement and with external stakeholders as required. The postholder will also work independently to deliver initiatives and projects and convene ad hoc teams to directly deliver against the people plan.
The People Services team works alongside the Employee Relations, Talent Development, EDI, Safeguarding and Internationally Mobile Staff teams in the People department.

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or part qualified) or equivalent qualification, or equivalent experience.
- GCSE’s or equivalent school leaver certification including Maths.
- Demonstrable experience in a People Services environment (payroll, recruitment and core HR/People services).
- Demonstrable experience in line managing a small team within core People Services, to deliver an effective and efficient function.
- Demonstrable experience in delivering projects and initiatives, ability to drive accountability for timelines and quality, deliverables and outcomes.
- Evidence of communicating effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation to engage, support and coach on areas within People Services and influencing continuous improvement.
- The ability to lead on relationships with internal stakeholders and external/third-party suppliers.
- The ability to use data from a wide range of sources to analyse key themes, the potential impact and make recommendations.
- Demonstrable commitment to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion and their practical application and integration in the work environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Genuine interest in and commitment to the aims and values of Médecins Sans Frontières.
