Urban Designer – Shape Nottingham’s Future
Are you ready to transform one of the UK’s most dynamic cities? We’re working with a leading planning and design consultancy to find a talented Urban Designer to join their Nottingham-based team.
About the Role
As an Urban Designer, you’ll help deliver innovative masterplans, regeneration schemes, and public realm strategies that will define Nottingham’s growth and character. You’ll collaborate with architects, planners, and local stakeholders to create spaces that are sustainable, inclusive, and inspiring.
What You’ll Do
- Develop concept designs, masterplans, and high-quality visual presentations
- Engage with clients, communities, and multi-disciplinary teams on major city projects
- Apply your knowledge of placemaking, sustainability, and urban planning policies
- Contribute to all stages of the design process, from early visioning to detailed proposals
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Urban Design, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture (or equivalent)
- Strong graphic and visualisation skills (Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Understanding of UK planning policies and sustainable urban design principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for shaping vibrant communities
