We are looking for an experienced, proactive and highly organised HR Assistant to join our busy, year‑round HR team. This is a key role within an on-site, fast‑paced educational setting, supporting a diverse workforce across two schools and associated commercial operations.

The successful candidate will already have experience in an HR  role and be confident managing end‑to‑end HR processes with accuracy and professionalism. You will bring strong customer‑service skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to provide informed, first‑line HR advice to staff and managers.

We are seeking someone who takes pride in delivering a high‑quality, inclusive employee experience, and who can work with discretion, sound judgement and a calm, solutions‑focused approach. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys being hands‑on, understands the demands of a busy HR function, and is ready to contribute from day one.

The deadline for applications is midnight on Monday, 27 April 2026.

Interviews will take place on-site at Alleyn's School on Thursday, 7 May 2026.

All staff have access to excellent facilities and resources, along with a range of fantastic benefits, which can be found in our Working at Alleyn's  brochure and on our website.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Alleyn’s is an Equal Opportunities employer.

Alleyn’s welcomes applications from all applicants who meet the requirements for the position. However, we are especially keen to receive applications from those in minority groups for which the school is currently underrepresented. We celebrate diversity and thrive on the benefits it brings.

We are South London’s leading co-educational school for children aged 4-18, rooted in history and focused on the future. At Alleyn’s, we believe in the transformative power of education—where academic excellence goes hand in hand with joy, wellbeing and possibility. We are a forward-thinking, values-led school rooted in a rich history yet firmly focused on the future.
