Location: Birmingham (4 days in the office / 1 day remote)
RGIS is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the HR function across the UK and Ireland.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a senior, high-impact role responsible for protecting the business through effective HR practices, ensuring compliance, and supporting a positive and productive working environment.
You will lead a team of 7-8 direct reports and take ownership of delivering a consistent, high-quality HR service across a complex, multi-site and multi-country structure. The role requires a strong balance of strategic oversight and hands-on delivery.
We expect our HR Manager to play a key role in shaping people strategy and driving business performance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all employee relations activity, including disciplinary, grievance, and investigation processes
- Provide expert, commercially focused HR advice to managers and senior stakeholders
- Manage complex cases, including ACAS and employment tribunal matters
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation across the UK and Ireland, including Right to Work requirements
- Oversee recruitment across salaried and hourly roles, including international hiring
- Support payroll, pensions, and benefits administration to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Maintain oversight of HR systems, reporting, and organisational structures
- Manage TUPE, visa, and work permit processes where required
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and support health & safety compliance
- Lead, develop, and support a team of 7-8 HR professionals
- Contribute to people initiatives that support business performance and employee engagement
Candidate Profile
- Experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background
- Proven ability to manage complex employee relations matters
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law (Ireland experience advantageous)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
- Credible and confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior level
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation and workload management skills
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
