Executive Director: People & Strategy
£competitive remuneration package
Home based with requirement to travel across emh schemes and offices
emh operates in more than 45 rural and urban local authority areas across the East Midlands. We manage more than 22,000 homes, employ over 1,100 colleagues, and have a turnover of £152.5 million. We are one of the country’s leading providers of social housing, development, and care & support - passionate about what we do and focused on a clear mission: to provide homes and care to improve opportunities for people.
Building on a proud 80-year history we are now laying the foundations for the future: delivering 2,000 new homes and investing £300 million in our existing homes. Great people are at the heart of what we do. Our staff’s care and professionalism have shaped our legacy and will define our future. This is your chance to be part of it.
As part of our Executive Leadership Team, you’ll play a key role in building our reputation as a high-performing, inclusive and people-centred place to work. You’ll be instrumental in defining and developing our employee value proposition, strengthening our organisational culture and ensuring that we have the right workforce, capability and leadership to deliver on our ambitions.
Providing strategic leadership across People, Culture, Communications, Health and Safety, and Corporate Strategy, you will ensure that these functions are aligned to corporate priorities and combine to support great outcomes for colleagues, customers and communities.
We are looking for an individual with significant experience at Director level – operating across some or all of the role’s portfolio. You’ll bring expertise that cuts across HR, communications, health & safety and organisational design.
You’ll be a passionate advocate for creating an inclusive workplace that enables people to develop their skills and their careers, with clarity on direction and expectations, and that thrives on diversity of thought and experience. Furthermore, you’ll believe in what we do, and be motivated by a strong sense of social purpose and the opportunity to have a positive impact on people’s lives.
