Operations Manager — London Screen Academy
£56,939–£63,517 | Permanent | 37.5 hours per week, all year | Highbury, London

London Screen Academy is a free sixth form specialising in film and television, where studios, edit suites, specialist equipment and creative spaces support the next generation of screen industry talent. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to keep this busy environment safe, well organised and ready for learning.

This is a new senior role within our Extended Leadership Team, offering the opportunity to shape how our operations work. You will lead day-to-day operations across premises, health and safety, IT and technical services, contracted services, external lettings and major events. Alongside managing our Estates Team and IT/AV Manager, you will bring together the people, systems and resources that enable students and staff to do their best work.

Reporting to the Director for People and Operations, with day-to-day accountability to the Principal, you will set clear priorities, strengthen processes and ensure operational risks and actions are followed through. You will manage budgets and suppliers carefully, plan maintenance and equipment replacement, and help our specialist spaces generate income through well-managed external bookings.

We are looking for a confident, practical leader with substantial experience in operations, facilities or premises management. You will be comfortable leading colleagues with different specialisms, holding contractors to account and balancing competing demands. Sound health and safety knowledge, strong organisational skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach are essential. Experience in education is welcome, alongside a clear understanding of how effective operations support learning.

In return, you will join a creative school with a clear purpose and have the scope to make a visible difference to everyday life at LSA.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity we want to see across the screen industries.

For an informal conversation, please contact Hannah Suleyman at hannah.suleyman@lsa.ac.uk.

Closing date: Friday 20 November 2026
Assessment: As soon as possible after closing.
Start date: January 2027, with an earlier start possible.

London Screen Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and safer recruitment checks.

To lead the day-to-day operation of London Screen Academy, reporting to the Director for People and Operations with day-to-day accountability to the Principal: the site, health and safety, IT and the kitstore, contracted services, external bookings, events, and the administrative systems and processes behind them, so that the school is safe, well run and ready for learning every day.
