Senior ER Consultant – 12-month FTC
Up to £80,000 basic salary plus car allowance & benefits

Are you an immediately available Employee Relations professional who thrives on navigating complex employee issues in a fast-paced, non-unionised environment? We're looking for a proactive ER Consultant to join our clients’ dynamic People team, bringing your expertise in case management and a passion for supporting organisational change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex ER cases across a range of issues including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, absence, and investigations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and senior leaders, providing clear, pragmatic advice on ER best practices, employment law, and risk mitigation.
- Monitor and track ER case trends, identifying patterns, root causes, and opportunities to improve policy, process, or culture.
- Support and coach line managers to build confidence in handling people issues effectively and in line with company values.
- Work collaboratively with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to support organisational development initiatives, including restructures, culture change programmes, and leadership development.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of ER policies, toolkits, and frameworks to drive consistency and fairness in approach.
- Provide insights and reports to senior leadership to inform decision-making and workforce strategy.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in an ER-focused role, with a strong track record of managing complex and high-risk cases independently.
- Experience working in a multi-site environment.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge constructively.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, change-oriented setting with a high degree of autonomy.
- Experience in or exposure to OD or change management projects is highly desirable.
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience) preferred.
