Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in complex Employee Relations casework? We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join a complex unionised organisation on an interim basis via Hays in Dorset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a range of complex Employee Relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, sickness, absence management and investigations.
- Provide expert advice to managers on HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
- Work closely with trade unions and employee representatives to maintain positive industrial relations.
- Potentially support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and consultations.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and organisational policies.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for hearings and tribunals where required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in handling complex ER casework within a unionised environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and complex large organisation HR practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.

- This role is offered on an initial interim contract until 31st March 2026 with scope for longer term via Hays online time sheets.
- Based in Dorset, 3 days per week on site with 2 days from home
