People & Culture Advisor


Slough, Berkshire (5 days on‑site) Stunning location. £46,000–£48,000 (flex for the right person)


Build the people engine that scales a business from 150 → 250 in 18 months. If you love variety, ownership and visible impact, this role puts you at the heart of growth, partnering directly with the HR Director to shape culture, capability and compliance.

Your quick self‑check You have at least two of the following:

  • Employee Relations, confident with investigations, note‑taking, outcomes and manager coaching
  • Learning & Development, tracking compliance, coordinating programmes, reporting
  • Recruitment, briefing roles, shortlisting/interviews, offers and onboarding


…and ideally:

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
  • Strong HR systems savvy (data, records, reporting)
  • A calm, practical style and great judgement

What you’ll do (the highlights)
ER & HR Ops

  • First point of contact for employee queries; consistent, legally‑sound advice
  • Support ER cases end‑to‑end: investigations, documentation, outcomes
  • Keep immaculate, confidential records and ensure GDPR/compliance

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate postings, screening, interviews and offers
  • Prepare contracts and onboarding packs; deliver smooth inductions

Learning & Development

  • Track statutory/compliance training; report progress and gaps
  • Coordinate in‑house/external learning and keep clean training records

Payroll Coordination

  • Partner with Finance/payroll to capture starters/leavers/changes accurately
  • Verify monthly inputs and maintain audit‑ready data

Projects, Culture & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion values and belonging; help lift engagement across teams
  • Improve processes and systems; contribute to people projects that scale a growing business
