  • Support hiring managers with job descriptions, interview preparation, and recruitment materials.
  • Ensure recruitment processes are inclusive, consistent, and aligned with UKSI values.
  • Utilise Cascade HRIS to enhance HR effectiveness and maintain accurate data for reporting.
  • Prepare documentation, letters, and reports as required.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, managers, and external partners, representing the People Team at stakeholder meetings.
  • Contribute to wider People Team projects and strategic priorities.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) – Level 7 desirable.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced HR environment, with strong generalist knowledge.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading TUPE transfers end-to-end.
  • Confident in advising managers on complex employee relations issues including disciplinary, redundancy, and change management.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and make quick decisions.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (Cascade experience desirable).
  • Ability to work autonomously, at pace, and build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Available to start immediately.

Benefits

  • 9-month fixed-term contract with a view to permanent employment.
  • Competitive salary (circa 40k).
  • 29 Days Holiday plus Bank Holiday.
  • Hybrid working model (1 day in Manchester office per week).
  • Opportunity to contribute to meaningful organisational change.
  • High level of autonomy and responsibility within a collaborative People Team.
