A forward‑thinking, values‑driven organisation within the education sector is seeking an experienced HR Partner to join their supportive and collaborative people team. You’ll be part of a culture built on trust, humility and teamwork.
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with the potential for something permanent in the future, and is home‑based with hybrid travel twice per week. You’ll work primarily across a portfolio of primary and secondary schools.
Your New Role
As HR Partner, you will provide hands‑on, operational HR support across your school portfolio, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and principals. This is a role where you can genuinely add value — stepping into a busy environment, building relationships and delivering pragmatic, solutions‑focused HR support.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Partnering closely with senior leaders, offering credible, practical guidance
- Managing complex ER cases with confidence and autonomy
- Supporting organisational change, including upcoming restructures
- Advising on performance management
- Driving process improvements and contributing to wider HR projects
- Providing safeguarding‑aligned HR advice
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Strong generalist HR experience, ideally at Business Partner level
- Confidence managing complex ER and change independently
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build strong, trusted relationships
- Pragmatic problem‑solving skills and a solutions‑focused mindset
- Resilience when working with more challenging school leaders
- Experience within education is beneficial but not essential.
