Are you an experienced OD professional looking to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a transforming organisation? We’re seeking an Organisational Development Manager / Organisation Development Specialist to lead and deliver high‑impact OD initiatives during a period of significant organisational change.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and enjoys being the subject-matter expert for organisational development, culture, and capability.


About the Role

As an OD Specialist, you will be central to designing and implementing the people‑focused elements of the transformation programme and will lead on the following project areas.
Performance & Appraisal Systems

  • Designing, developing, and implementing modern appraisal and performance management frameworks
  • Embedding systems that drive accountability, continuous improvement, and development Coaching managers on effective performance conversations

Large‑Scale Change & Communication

  • Supporting organisational‑wide change programmes from design through delivery
  • Creating clear, compelling communication plans that ensure engagement and alignment
  • Advising leaders on best practice change management approaches

Behavioural Framework

  • Designing behavioural and competency frameworks aligned to organisational values
  • Embedding behaviours into recruitment, performance, development, and leadership pathways

Learning Management System (LMS) Development

  • Leading on the design and implementation of Learning Management Systems
  • Ensuring high‑quality digital learning content and a strong user experience
  • Supporting a culture of learning, leadership development, and skills enhancement

Candidates

  • Significant experience as an OD Specialist, Organisational Development Manager /Consultant, or similar
  • A track record of delivering impactful OD initiatives in complex, changing environments
  • Experience of large scale organisations such as the public sector, unionised or complex matrix organisations.
  • Expertise in organisational development, culture change, leadership development and people development
  • Experience of designing & implementing Appraisal & Performance Management systems, Behavioural Frameworks and LMS systems.
  • Experience of Organisational Change and communications
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and the confidence to challenge and innovate

The Offer

  • 12 months fixed term contract
  • Based in Dorset circa 3 days per week on-site / 2 home open to discuss
  • 37 hours
  • Pension Scheme
