We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist on a permanent basis to join a small, supportive People Partnering team based in central London. This is a dynamic, fast‑paced role where you will manage a varied employee relations caseload and act as a trusted advisor to leaders and HR colleagues. You'll tailor your advice thoughtfully to the cultures of our various sites while ensuring decisions remain aligned with policy and employment law.
You'll work with a high degree of autonomy, using your judgement to navigate sensitive and complex matters, while still benefiting from the guidance and support of a Senior People Partner and a collaborative team dedicated to your professional development. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact across a large educational community.
The work will involve providing timely, high‑quality advice on a broad range of employee relations issues, managing cases confidently from start to finish, and developing strong, credible relationships with HR contacts and school leaders. You'll apply UK employment law and HR best practice to real-world challenges, adapting your approach to fit varying school contexts and ensuring consistency and fairness throughout.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience, along with strong, demonstrable expertise in employee relations—ideally g ained within the education sector. You should have a solid understanding of UK employment law, the ability to manage a busy caseload independently, and excellent interpersonal skills that help you build trust quickly. A pragmatic, adaptable approach is essential, as is the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion, emotional intelligence, and sound judgement.
