We are seeking an experienced Interim Human Resources Business Partner with Employee Relations and change experience to provide expert support to a busy People function during a period of significant organisational change. This is an ideal role for someone who combines strong technical ER expertise with the ability to coach, influence and drive positive change across a complex environment.

You will partner closely with People Business Partners and senior leaders, offering high‑quality guidance across a wide range of employee relations and change activities. You'll ensure that colleagues experience fair, consistent and legally compliant processes, while helping the organisation to evolve and strengthen its people practices.
This role requires a confident professional who can bring clarity to complex situations, navigate sensitive issues with maturity, and support managers through challenging decisions.

  • Lead collective and individual consultation processes relating to restructures, redundancy and broader organisational change.
  • Manage complex ER casework, including grievances, disciplinary matters, performance issues and sensitive investigations.
  • Coach managers and leaders to build confidence and capability in handling people matters.
  • Provide hands‑on support to change programmes, including documentation, planning, timelines and communication.
  • Oversee accurate and compliant administration of all ER activity.
  • Help shape a constructive, trust‑based employee relations environment within a non‑unionised organisation.

You will need to have:

  • Strong track record delivering both collective and individual consultation processes.
  • Extensive experience managing complex and sensitive ER cases from start to finish.
  • Ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, ideally in environments where pace of change has historically been slow or challenging.
  • Strong judgement, resilience and the ability to handle ambiguity.
  • Excellent organisational, documentation and communication skills.
