Are you an HR professional who enjoys shaping people policies, improving employee experience, and making sure HR best practice is embedded in day-to-day operations?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing People team in a newly established role where you’ll play a key part in developing, reviewing and embedding people policies that genuinely support employees and managers across the organisation.

About the role
You’ll work closely with HR colleagues and stakeholders to ensure people policies are clear, practical and fit for purpose. This is a hands-on role with real scope to influence how people policies are written, communicated and applied.
You’ll be based in Uxbridge, with some travel to other sites as required, and will benefit from a hybrid working model following your probation period.

Key responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing and updating people policies in line with legislation, best practice and operational needs
Supporting the rollout and embedding of new and updated policies across the organisation
Providing guidance and advice to managers and colleagues on people policy matters
Supporting internal reviews and audits, identifying opportunities for improvement
Assisting with training sessions and briefings on new policies and people-related processes
Producing reports and insights to help inform continuous improvement within the People function

About you
You’ll be highly organised, detail-focused and confident working with people policies in a busy HR environment. You’ll enjoy collaborating with others, balancing multiple priorities and taking pride in producing high-quality, well-written policy documentation.

You’ll bring:

At least 2 years’ experience in an HR operations, policy or related HR role
A strong working knowledge of employment legislation, including GDPR & equality legislation
Experience drafting, reviewing and updating people policies
The ability to interpret legislation and translate it into clear, practical guidance

What’s on offer

Local Government Pension Scheme
27 days’ annual leave plus Christmas closure and bank holidays
Hybrid working (office-based during probation, then 1 day per week from home, with flexibility outside peak periods throughout the year)
Wellbeing programme
Free onsite gym
Free onsite parking
Cycle to work scheme

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact on people policy and employee experience, this could be a great next step in your HR career.
