Sickness Absence Project Lead

💰 £350 per day
📅 12-month contract
We are supporting an NHS organisation to deliver a 12-month sickness absence reduction programme, and are seeking an experienced Project Lead to drive delivery.
This is a hands-on, operational role focused on improving grip on long-term and repeat absence, reducing duration, and supporting sustainable workforce performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of a Trust-wide sickness absence improvement programme
- Provide oversight of long-term and repeat absence case management
- Establish clear governance, reporting and performance tracking
- Work closely with HR, Finance and operational leaders
- Support and oversee a small team of Case Managers
- Identify priority areas and drive targeted interventions
Key Requirements
- Proven experience delivering workforce / HR projects within the NHS
- Strong understanding of sickness absence management
- Experience working with operational and clinical stakeholders
- Data-driven, with the ability to interpret and act on workforce metrics
- Confident operating in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
- Able to be on-site in Kent regularly
