Deputy Head of HR
Central London | Up to £65,000 | Up to 12 Months | 50/50 Hybrid Working | ASAP Start
MLC Partners are working with a healthcare organisation in Central London to recruit an experienced Deputy Head of HR.
This is a hands-on senior HR role for someone who can hit the ground running, provide confident advice on high-volume and highly complex people matters, and work effectively with senior leaders across the organisation.
Reporting to the Head of HR, the successful candidate will provide both operational and strategic HR support, deputise when required, and help ensure managers receive timely, pragmatic and commercially sound advice.
The role will also have a small team underneath it. The exact structure is still being finalised, but this is likely to be either around six HR Administrators reporting into the role, or a Team Leader who will manage the administrative team.
Key responsibilities
- Providing senior-level advice on complex employee relations matters.
- Personally supporting sensitive or high-risk cases where required.
- Advising on disciplinary, grievance, appeal and other formal processes.
- Coaching and challenging managers on people issues.
- Supporting workforce planning, policy development and workforce performance.
- Using workforce data and insight to help inform decision-making.
- Supporting the Head of HR and deputising when required.
- Providing leadership and oversight to the team.
- Supporting organisational change activity where required, depending on business needs.
