Assistant Principal – Policy Analyst/Economist in the Irish Government Economic & Evaluation Service

The Civil Service is now recruiting for Policy Analysts / Economists at Assistant Principal level with relevant experience and qualifications to undertake national policy development roles in the Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service (IGEES).

IGEES is working to build economic and evaluation capacity across the Civil Service and to embed an evidence-informed approach to policy analysis, design and implementation.

The successful candidates will be capable of drawing on their experience and expertise in the use of data and analysis to provide policy insights in support of evidence-informed policy and decision making.

The ideal candidates will be self-starters, capable of continuous learning, with a strong interest in the wider economic, political and social environment.

Currently a number of vacancies exist for this position. Such vacancies may be in one of many Government Departments/Offices, or in an ‘agency’ of a Government Department. It is likely that most vacancies arising over the lifetime of this panel will be in Dublin.
